Hey there! Straight out the gate, imma let you know this article is about astrology. Many of my readers know I LOVE astrology. I know that a handful of you also love it, I know another handful of you are interested in and curious about it, and I’m sure some of you couldn’t care less about it and/or are skeptical of it.
If you fall into the first 2 two camps then read on (brace yourself though—this is LONG)! If you belong in the last group, then either this article isn’t for you and I give you permission to skip—OR read it and at least be entertained by what I consider some VERY cool information.
I am going to do a bit of Astrology 101 in this article, as I believe most of my readers are not as familiar with astrology. If you are an aficionado, feel free to skim and skip through to the part below that says “PLUTO IN AQUARIUS” in bold print. But, I want to take this opportunity to live out my astrological purpose by trying to explain a bit about all this.
How do I know it is my purpose? Well, there is this thing called Human Design that uses your astrology to give you an insane amount of information about how you work best. It covers things such as your chakras, what kind of eater you are, how you are supposed to manifest your desires, how you learn best, your gifts and talents, jobs you are most suited for, etc.
It also gives you a specific number that explains a lot about how you operate in this world. Mine is a 3/5. The 3 means that I am someone who learns by trying EVERYTHING, failing at a lot of things, learning from it, and moving on with that new information. I don’t take advice. I don’t learn by you telling me what to do. I HAVE to try it and learn for myself.
The 5 is subconscious for me, and it means that people want to hear what I have to say, and I don’t really understand why. People like to live vicariously through all of the crazy antics and adventures I get up to with my 3, and then the 5 means it is my job to share what I have learned from trial and error.
People seem to want to learn from my nonsense. But because it is a subconscious 5, I don’t really have much of a true full understanding of why people are listening to me, or that they even are listening to me. I am driven to share my experiences, but not from a place of wanting to teach people. Rather, it is just because I like sharing. I have found all of this to be pretty true to my experiences.
So, that is why I am saying it is part of my purpose. I have spent many years learning about astrology, and now I have this insatiable need to share what I know. I spent an inordinate amount of time trying to understand some complex things that astrologers share at a very advanced level, and I believe I have figured out how to “dumb them down” enough for a beginner to understand. I have dumbed them down enough for myself to understand.
So I want to write this piece from that perspective. My 3 learned all of this and made a lot of mistakes, and my 5 figured out how to make this information more suitable to the masses. I hope that is what I am accomplishing here. Let’s go!
Before I get into the title of this piece, “Pluto in Aquarius”, I want to give a little astrology 101 so you can understand more when I get to that part.
1 - If you were to take a snapshot of the sky the moment you were born, that is your birth chart. Your sun sign is the day you were born and the sign that most everyone knows they have. But you also have a moon and rising sign. And you have every planet doing something different in your chart, and they all fall into different houses that mean something. This not only gives you a much clearer picture of who you are as a person, but also what the future holds. Your sun sign alone can’t tell you this.
So, the snapshot of the sky shows you where every planet was at the exact time and location you were born, and it all plays a part in your full astrological chart. That is why you need to know the exact time and place you were born to get a full reading. Here is a free calculator you can put that info in to find out all your stuff! (Pro-tip, you don’t have to actually put in your email address. You can literally put one letter in that spot and it will satisfy the requirement and you won’t receive emails.)
Below is a picture of what my birth chart looks like. This was my “snapshot in the sky” the moment I was born. A visual aid for you to use throughout this.
2 - As you can see from my birth chart above, there are little symbols in some of the slices. Each symbol represents a different planet or point in the sky. The thing that looks like a boob in Aries, that is the sun. The sun was in Aries the day I was born, so that is my sun sign. Your sun sign is the core of who you are as a person. The thing that actually looks like the sun in Taurus, that is my “rising” or “ascendant” sign (both rising and ascendant are used interchangeably). That is the direction my life is headed. That is what I am ascending to be. I start to take on more of those Taurus qualities as I get older. When reading your horoscope, you should actually use your rising sign. That is the direction your life is headed, so that is what the future holds. You see that little moon in Cancer? That is my moon sign. That is my inner, hidden, shadow self. It is my connection to my family. We often call these 3 signs your “Big 3”. All the other little symbols represent where the different planets or particular points in the sky were when I was born.
3 - Each planet is in charge of something. They all have their own personality. And each astrological sign is ruled by a planet. Astrology was founded before all of the planets were discovered. As such, there are different schools of thought about which planets rule which signs. Pluto was discovered in 1930, has recently been decommissioned to a “dwarf planet”, and many do not consider it a planet anymore. Different astrologers interpret this differently. I tend to use an interpretation where Pluto still counts, and I kind of mix old and new. As such, here is what I use:
Mars is the planet of battle, courage, aggression, war, conflict, passion, leadership, and action. Mars rules the sign Aries in modern astrology, and Aries and Scorpio in old traditional astrology. (In my version of astrology I recognize Mars as one of two rulers of Scorpio). If you know anything about Aries’, we really do embody those Mars principles. I have had many fights with people who are reading this who are nodding furiously right now. I am an aggressive, courageous, Battle-Goddess. It is my belief that Scorpios have these abilities, but don’t wear them on their sleeves the way us Aries’ do.
Venus is the planet of love, relationships, beauty, romance, money and art. Venus rules both Taurus and Libra. Libras are very relationship-oriented and like for things to be in harmony and really appreciate art and beauty. Taurus’ are very particular about their homes being aesthetically pleasing and beautiful to them, and they tend to appreciate the finer things in life.
Mercury is the planet of communication, patterns of thinking, intellect, rationality, and mentality. (Hence when Mercury goes retrograde - moves backward - everyone freaks out because systems of thinking and communication go completely haywire and it fucks everyone’s shit up.) Mercury rules both Gemini and Virgo. Both of these signs absolutely love learning, teaching, and discussing things. They love dispersing information.
The Moon is not a planet, but it counts as one in astrology. It represents emotions, feelings, family connections, moods, femininity, connections to our mothers. It rules Cancer. Cancer’s are known for their sensitivity, strong family connections, and their ability to really dive deep into emotions.
The Sun is also not a planet but we use it as one. It represents the self, expression, pride, ego, authority, creativity, vitality. Thinking of rays of sunshine that really just give a strong life-force to all of us. The sign it represents is Leo, as Leo’s are thought to be very strong, creative, forces of nature. They have authority and pride. The Sun never goes retrograde, it is stable, loyal, and strong like a Leo.
Pluto still counts as a planet in a lot of astrologers’ minds; mine included. It is the planet of transformation, renewal, destruction, the underworld, death, wealth, power, and secrets. It clears deadweight and can cause some major shifts and upheavals. In modern astrology it rules Scorpio. Some people just use Mars for Scorpio. Others just use Pluto for Scorpio. While the rest of us say Scorpio is ruled by both. I say both. Scorpios are very complex people. Their well runs intensely deep and there is much beneath the surface that most of us don’t see. They hold all the secrets and see all of the hidden parts of the world that most miss. They can be very transformational people in many ways. This is the Pluto influence. The Mars influence is their passion and courage (and also yes that conflict and battle does come up too. My mom is a Scorpio and I can tell you that it definitely does. As it also does with my Aries. What I am saying is, we fight a lot.)
Jupiter is the planet of luck, abundance, prosperity, positive thinking, growth and expansion. Sagittarius is ruled by this planet. Sag’s are known for their positive and abundant cheerful natures. They are known for being huge explorers and travelers. The expansion and growth is represented in their insatiable need to just constantly be exploring all the new terrain. I have found Sag’s to be just larger-than-life bursts of energy and cheerfulness in the room. Hedonistic, happy, party-animals for sure! (In traditional astrology, before Neptune was discovered, Jupiter was thought to rule Pisces, as well. However, in my version of astrology, I see Neptune—the modern ruler of the sign— to be much more accurate. So I really only think of Neptune as ruling Pisces, and not Jupiter.)
Saturn is the planet of rules, restrictions, boundaries, responsibility, long-term plans and structures. It is the most distant and cold of the planets. It rules both Capricorn and Aquarius peeps. This is not to say Cap’s and Aq’s are cold and distant. However, I would say upon first meeting these signs they can come across more distant than other signs on the surface. They seem composed, structured, and aloof. Usually, when getting to know them better, you find they open up and aren’t what they could initially appear. But these signs are very responsible and structured. They like a set of rules to adhere to. Not necessarily society’s rules, but their own set of rules, structures, and boundaries. Especially, Aquarius’. They make up their own set of rules to adhere to, and then they are gonna do what they are gonna do. This is because in modern astrology Aq’s are ruled by Uranus (instead of Saturn). As such, I think of Aq’s as being ruled by both Saturn and Uranus. Whereas Cap’s tend to follow a more traditional structure of values and rules that are set out for them (since their only ruler is Saturn). Not always, but their life has been more influenced by it than other signs.
Uranus is the planet of innovation, radical change, experimentation, technology, rebellion, unpredictability. This is where the Aquarius will differ from the Capricorn. So this planet is the modern ruler of Aquarius. So Aquarius’ like the rules and boundaries and structures of Saturn, but then they like to innovate and experiment with the rules and structures, then they rebel and create their own set of rules to follow. They are resourceful and imaginative. They love learning the rules and then breaking them and then setting their own codes to live by. Aq’s are a weird combo of simultaneously loving rules and hating them. Saturn loves rules. Uranus hates them.
Neptune is the planet of intuition, spirituality, compassion, dreams, fantasy, artistry, idealism, and illusion. It is very celestial, vague, dark, hidden. It makes me think of like celestial goddess mermaids. So it definitely rules Pisces. Like I said before, Neptune is the modern ruler of Pisces and Jupiter is the traditional ruler of that sign. However, in my mind, it is just Neptune for Pisces. And I think of Pisces like mermaids, too. They are all up in their imaginations and fantasies and dreams. Idealistic, artsy, spiritual, and intuitive. However, they also go really super deep and see beyond the status quo and into the darkness that most don’t see. They are a lot like Scorpio’s this way. Very deep and intense signs.
Did you notice how as my descriptions went from beginning to end that each one became a bit more complex and lengthy? I attribute this to the next thing I am going to teach you:
4 - The order of the zodiac can kind of explain how “complex” a sign is. The zodiacal season starts off with Aries. As such, you can think of us Aries’ as the newborn babies of the zodiac. What you see is what you get. No hidden agenda. We make our needs very well known. Our intentions are pure. We are impatient and temperamental. And we have zero shame over having any and all of those qualities. Kind of like a little baby. LOL. As you move through each sign, it becomes a bit “older” and more complex or complicated. By the time you get to Capricorn it is like the middle-aged, practical CEO of the zodiac. The Pisces’ peeps are like the wise old people who have seen it all and are privy to what happens in the heavens and beyond. So my descriptions started becoming more and more nuanced as I progressed above, and I believe it is for this reason.
5 - Going back to the chart above, you will see each slice has a different sign. You will see that different planets are falling in different signs. That is specific to me, due to where everything was at the time and place I was born. I know someone who was born on the same day as me, at the same exact hospital, but is two hours younger than me. Most of our chart is the same, however, his rising sign is different because of being born two hours later.
But what I want to convey here is that just because each planet rules a particular sign, doesn’t mean that is where the planet was when you were born. Mercury may rule Gemini and Virgo as signs, but when I was born Mercury was hanging out in Taurus. And for you it could have been hanging out in any of the 12 signs. All of this means something different for each person. It all compiles your personal profile.
Sometimes planets and signs get along, and sometimes they don’t. That can impact your chart, as well. Mars (planet of conflict) is not happy in Cancer (sign of sensitivity). So if your Mars is in Cancer, it could present you personal challenges. And as we are living and breathing and walking around in day to day life, anytime Mars is passing through Cancer, it is going to impact our horoscope and how that period of time impacts us. Which leads me to my next point…
6 - Again, looking at the chart above, you see how each slice has a number? Those are houses. There are 12 houses. Each house represents something different, and not everyone has the same sign in the same house. Stick with me here. I promise this will make sense.
That picture of a birth chart above is my specific birth chart. It is where everything was in the sky when I was born. However, if you look at a general astrology circle chart, what you will always see is Aries in the 1st house, Taurus is in the 2nd house, and so on and so forth until you get to Pisces in the 12th house. Aries starts off the zodiac and Pisces ends it. 1-12. And each house represents something different, which also aligns with the signs that rule it.
So, Aries rules the 1st house. The house of self, how we are perceived by others, our bodies, and first impressions. As an Aries, being the baby of the zodiac - the core of who I am is pretty pure and authentic. What you see is what you get. I am pretty wrapped up in the “self”. The first impression I give off is usually just fully who I am.
Another examples is that Virgo’s are the 6th sign of the zodiac and, therefore, rule the 6th house. The 6th house is the house of work, health, daily routines and tasks. It is about daily duties, schedules, and cleanliness. Virgo’s are known for being hard-workers and quite studious. They are known for being organized and striving for perfection. These go hand-in-hand with the 6th house.
So on and so forth for each sign and each house. So each planet rules a specific sign, and each sign rules a specific house. Here are the high-level things each house represents. They can represent more than just the words below, but I am trying to simplify it down to one or two words.
1st house - the self (ruled by Aries - which is ruled by Mars)
2nd house - money and resources (ruled by Taurus - which is ruled by Venus)
3rd house - communication (ruled by Gemini - which is ruled by Mercury)
4th house - family (ruled by Cancer - which is ruled by the Moon)
5th house - self-expression and creativity (ruled by Leo - which is ruled by the Sun)
6th house - work and health (ruled by Virgo - which is ruled by Mercury)
7th house - committed relationships and partnerships (ruled by Libra - which is ruled by Venus)
8th house - sex, taboos, and death (ruled by Scorpio - hahaha, I am sorry but this one makes me laugh. You Scorpios and your sex and death! - which is ruled by Mars and Pluto)
9th house - higher education and travel (ruled by Sagittarius. This house has a lot more to it than the two general words I mentioned. Like I said, as we start getting further into the zodiac, the more complex things can be - which is ruled by Jupiter)
10th house - career and public roles (ruled by Capricorn - which is ruled by Saturn)
11th house - community and technology (ruled by Aquarius - which is ruled by Saturn and Uranus)
12th house - the unseen/unconscious realm: dreams and hidden life (ruled by Pisces - which is ruled by Neptune)
Are you starting to see how aspects of each sign match aspects of its ruling planet and aspects of each house? So now that we know what each house is responsible for, I am going to talk about how it impacts you differently. You may be looking at my above list and comparing it to my above picture and saying “Krista, you said Aries is the 1st house, but in your wheel it looks like Taurus corresponds with the slice that says #1.” Gosh darnit you are CORRECT! How insightful of you!
The sky and planets are always moving, so these things are all in different places when you are born at different times and locations. Your personal chart most likely won’t correspond with the general rulers I mentioned above. So, the same way that Venus rules Libra, but Venus may fall in Capricorn for you, is the same way that your houses probably won’t correspond with the signs that rule them. My Aries is in my 12th house, not my 1st house (which is the house it rules). And the same way that your planets falling in different signs the moment you were born impacts who you are and how you move through life, is the same way that what houses your signs fall in also impact those same things.
7 - Your rising/ascendant sign is ALWAYS in your 1st house. That is what starts the chart for you personally. If your rising is Taurus (like me) then Taurus will be in your first house and it progresses in order from there. Since Gemini season comes after Taurus season, then Gemini is in the 2nd house for me. And so on and so forth.
However, if your rising sign is Leo, then Leo is in the 1st house for you, and Virgo comes after Leo, so that means Virgo is 2nd house, Libra is 3rd, Scorpio is 4th. So on. Your rising sign sets the stage for all the other signs and what houses they fall in.
Someone with their Aquarius in the 12th house is going to have different things going on than someone with Cancer in the 12th house. This is one of the MANY ways your chart reading would be different than another person. So when people say, “Well astrology can’t be real because I am a Gemini and my friend is a Gemini and we have a lot of differences,” they don’t fully understand astrology. There are so many different variables, as you have seen above.
Not to mention, I am not even going to get started on how the angles the planets are from each other also impacts your chart. For instance, if Mercury is 90 degrees from your Gemini sun, but your friend has Mercury 120 degrees from their Gemini sun—welp, then Mercury is operating as a challenge to the 1st Gemini and is operating as a gift to the 2nd Gemini. I won’t get into the nitty gritty of these. That is too advanced. But that is just to give you an idea that there are SO MANY VARIABLES HERE.
8 - As I mentioned before, your rising sign is always in your 1st house, and it is the sign you should be using for your horoscope. My birthday is April 19th, so people know I am an Aries. However, Aries is my sun sign (the core of who I am). Taurus is my rising sign. My rising (or ascendant) sign is the direction my life is headed, and what I am growing into. As such, if I want to predict the future with astrology, then I have to use the sign that represents the direction I am headed. So that is Taurus for me. So I am gonna use a Taurus horoscope, and not an Aries.
Rising signs change every two hours. This makes it a much more personalized place in your chart. Again, someone born in the same hospital just two hours later than me has a different rising sign. His houses are all in different signs than mine. His horoscope is totally different than mine.
OK, if you are still with me, CONGRATULATIONS! That was A LOT of info. I hope it made sense. If not, feel free to ask me any questions you have.
Now that you know all of that, we can talk about Pluto in Aquarius! The whole point of this insanely long and densely packed article!
PLUTO IN AQUARIUS!!!!
On Jan. 20th, Pluto is moving into Aquarius, and this is a big stinking deal! Some planets move pretty quickly (like Mercury), and we see them come back to the same place in our chart many times throughout our life. As such, the impact of them is more short-term.
However, some planets move incredibly slowly and we may very rarely see them move in our lifetime. Therefore, they have slower but more long-term and big impacts on our life. Pluto is one of these longer and slower ones, and it spends between 15-20 years in each sign. So, if you live to be 80, you may see Pluto move about 4 times.
(**MORE ASTROLOGY 101 - A planet like Mercury moves fast. It changes signs every 3-4 weeks. The things it impacts in your life usually play out faster and shorter term. So it is quite different than what Pluto does, which is moving very slow and causing greater impact**)
In everyone’s lifetime, they will never see Pluto move through all of the signs. Like I said, you will probably see it hit 4 or 5 signs in your lifetime. The last time Pluto was in Aquarius, was around 250 years ago. Pluto was just in Capricorn from 2008 to now, and it getting ready to move into Aquarius again after almost 250 years.
Pluto is the planet of wealth, power, secrets, mystery, death, transformation, and underworld. Big, monumental changes happen when Pluto does its thing. However, these changes (global and personal) happen slowly over that long period of time. Nothing is going to flip on its head overnight. It will be slow, and it will require our patience. These transformations don’t necessarily have to be bad or scary. They can be. Or they can be great. Just kind of depends on your chart and also how you view those types of changes.
Aquarius is the sign of community/collective (power to the people), social justice, innovation, experimentation, and technology. As a society and collective, we will experience Pluto in Aquarius (2024 to 2043/2044) on a large scale within the characteristics of what Aquarius and the 11th house represent. Because Aquarius rules the 11th house, these components factor in to what we will encounter globally with this shift. Pluto in Aquarius will empower the masses to organize and disrupt the systems that don’t work for us over the 20 year period it is there.
To put it into perspective for you, some of the things that happened during the last time Pluto was in Aquarius (close to 250 years ago) were the French and American Revolutions (power to the people/collective), and the Industrial Revolution happened (innovative technology). The Age of Enlightenment reached its high point—which was all about reason and rationale (which is super Aquarian). Uranus was discovered because of new technology and completely changed what we knew about the solar system. The Declaration of Independence was signed, and our current American flag came about the last time Pluto was in Aquarius. A new America was born during this time. Trust and believe that with this new round of Pluto in Aquarius, by 2044 America is going to be drastically different than it usually is at the end of a 20 year period.
Around 250 years ago, when Pluto was transitioning from Capricorn to Aquarius, things happened like the first steps were taken to outlaw slavery, and the rise and fall of Marie Antoinette, King George III, and Louis XVI. (Marie Antoinette married Louis XVI during Pluto in Capricorn and lost her life when Pluto moved into Aquarius. The rises happened in Capricorn and the falls happened in Aquarius.)
During our current Pluto in Capricorn (2008 to now) you can swap those names with Boris Johnson, Vladmir Putin, and Donald Trump. This is not political commentary. These are people who are powerful and wealthy, who have great political significance during this period of time, and their wealth and power caused a lot of big changes in our society. Much like the people mentioned in the paragraph above.
Pluto rules plutocrats (a person who’s power is derived by their wealth) and Capricorn (the sign of the CEO and wealth-oriented) is where they are at the top of their game. The sign of Capricorn is very business-like, career-oriented, and political. It rules the Kings, Queens, CEO’s, Presidents, Prime Ministers, and the 1%. So that is where Pluto has been from 2008 to now. And where it was before the historical things I mentioned above.
Please keep in mind when I say that Capricorn is the sign of wealth, 1%, corporations, etc - that is not to say that a person who is a Cap is some greedy, wealthy, jerk. Every sign has it’s good and bad. Capricorn is also the sign of the hard-working, responsible, grounded, determined, and motivated to succeed. Those qualities can also lead to wealth, CEO energy, etc. And being a wealthy CEO isn’t always a bad thing. It is all in how you use it, and how some people abuse it. So in the terms I am discussing about Pluto being in Capricorn, I am not talking about individual people who are Capricorns, I am talking about the meaning of the sign, as a whole, as it pertains to a global scale.
Another perspective to look at are the things that happened when Pluto was in Capricorn for the last 15 years. 2008 is the year Pluto moved into Capricorn, and that is the year we bailed out all the big banks, the housing market crashed (literally a few months after it moved there), and the working class shouldered the burden of all this and fell into a big recession. We saw the 1% rich get insanely richer while the collective/the rest of us saw a huge loss in power and wealth in so many ways from 2008 to now.
I don’t think any of the 1% are reading my blog, but I am sure different political affiliations are reading my blog. So, depending on how you view politics, it could change how you view what Pluto did in this sign. I am not here to comment on what I think is right or wrong. I am purely stating facts that correspond to what happened from an astrological point of view.
During this Pluto in Capricorn transit, Trump—a powerful, very wealthy, corporate man—became president and gained even greater power and fame. We also saw a lot of losing battles for the other 99% of people and social justice during this 15 year period. Women lost their rights over their bodies in many states when Roe v Wade was overturned. Billionaires decided to lay off thousands and fly to the moon. We saw many situations of police going free after murdering innocent black people. This could go on forever, let’s just say A LOT went down during this period of time.
So, the expectation for us as a society with this change coming up is that when Pluto moves into Aquarius, we will see another big transformation. Pluto will transform in ways that relate to Aquarius. We expect to see power go back to the collective and away from the 1% wealthy. We are planning for massive technological shifts. And it would not be surprising to see some very successful social justice movements. Because Aquarius is about community, social justice, technology, etc.
We saw a preview of this March-June in 2023. The reason being is because Pluto moved into Aquarius briefly during that time. In early June, Pluto then went retrograde (backwards) back into Capricorn until Jan. 20, 2024. I was paying attention during that preview time in Mar-June, because I knew about this astrology. That was when Trump received his first indictment (downfall of the 1%). That is when the ‘Tennessee Three’, who were minorities in their legislative office, started a huge social movement to get their house seats back after they were expelled. Many people protested and they were reinstated during this time (power to the people/social justice). And we really saw AI take its first mainstream steps into the collective awareness (technology boom). Additionally, we saw attempts to ban Tiktok in America (technology and politics). We expect to see more and more things of these types of nature during the 20 year period that Pluto is in Aquarius from 2024 to 2044. This is what it means for us as a whole. Aquarius will represent the house it rules, 11th house, and make big changes in the areas that the 11th house represents.
Please remember, I can’t stress this enough, I am not saying individual Capricorns are wealthy and powerful, and I am not saying individual Aquarians are social justice techies. This is just what the signs represent to society on the whole. And I, of course, have my personal political preferences for which period of time I will prefer. However, for the purpose of this article, I am just stating factual information that I have found from research. The wealthy and powerful became more wealthy and powerful during Pluto in Capricorn 250 years ago, and again from 2008 to now. And power went back to the collective and great technological advances were made during Pluto in Aquarius 240ish years ago, and we are anticipating that again for the next 20 years.
Now, for you personally… Pluto is going to make big transformations over a 20 year period in your personal life in the areas of whatever house Aquarius falls in for you. How do you figure this out? You need to know your exact birth time and place, and put it in the calculator I linked above. You will get a picture of your chart, like the one I shared of my chart above. And you will see what house it falls in for you.
So using my chart as an example, for me Aquarius falls in the 10th house. This is the house of career and public facing roles. I can expect a big transformation in this area of my life over the next 20 years. I look back at the preview we had in March-June of 2023 and what can I see that happened during that time that may pertain to a big career shift for me? My first, and so far only, professional article was published on Insider.
You see, I have been following my astrology for a few years. I have been paying attention to, and getting in flow with, what the universe has prepared for me. I found out awhile ago that with my astrology I should be focusing on writing, wellness, and a few other things. I started diving into all of the things it has told me about—learning and researching them. I have prayed and meditated and listened to God and my guides, etc. And I am using this to my benefit, so I don’t keep pushing against the odds.
I’ve learned about my Human Design and realized that I, personally, am supposed to make decisions from gut reactions. When I go against that, I become at odds with the universe. And I have learned this lesson the hard way time and time again. I have discovered that I am not meant to be someone who adheres to strict daily rituals—I need more flexibility. I found out that my sensitive Cancer moon was really fighting hard to be seen and heard amongst my tough bitch Aries, and I needed to allow room for both to be present in order for me to feel whole.
Learning about myself through astrology, mindfulness, meditation, prayer, reading, seeking out new philosophies, etc etc - lead me to unequivocally find out I was on a path of the most resistance and I was not in flow with what was meant for me. I started working on the things that all of these mediums provided me answers on, and lo and behold those things work much better.
That’s not to say my life is easy, problem-free, perfect, etc. (I am still in the beginning stages of getting things on track). But I can feel when I am on the right path and the wrong one. And I do what I can to get on the right one.
Not only did I know that March through June 2023 would show me a preview of my career change and public roles. And not only did I know that all of the signs were pointing towards me being a professional writer. But I also knew that on April 11, 2023 when Jupiter (the planet of luck and abundance and prosperity) was making a really helpful and prosperous connection with the Sun (which helps you live out your creativity and vitality and helps you shine) that it was the best day of the whole year to have luck on my side. So that was the day I pitched the one and only article I ended up selling last year.
To put it into even more perspective, I am going to explain what happened in my life when Pluto was in Capricorn. For me personally, Capricorn falls in the 9th house. So it had a different meaning in my personal life than it did for society.
Capricorn is still about structure here, but my structures and rules and boundaries were being transformed in the 9th house. To give the full description of everything that the 9th house embodies - it includes travel (specifically long-distance/international travel), philosophy, astrology, higher learning, publishing, spirituality/religion, and wisdom.
In the 15 years that Pluto was in Capricorn in my 9th house I travelled internationally not only for the first time but several times. I did this solo most of the time and learned more than I could have ever imagined about the world, people, and myself. I started publishing my writing on various blogs and online places. I got divorced and it set off an insanely intense journey of higher learning, spiritual growth, and philosophy shifts. I gained a shit ton of wisdom from it, and everything that took place afterwards as a result of it. I went from knowing nothing about astrology to everything you are reading about it now and more. It became a big part of my higher learning, spirituality, and life philosophy. I completely changed my mind on incredibly huge topics due to moving to a different city, meeting different people, traveling the world, and being open to new philosophies and higher learning. Plus a million other things that I won’t go into right now (many of which are in my upcoming book).
And all of these things happened without me knowing a lick about astrology, or realizing these shifts were happening because Pluto was in my 9th house. I looked back and connected the dots. Now that I know what I know, I am looking forward and connecting the dots. And I will do my best to set out on the road I see in front of me with all of this info.
Over the course of the next 20 years many other planets will do many other things, and those things will impact this overall Pluto in Aquarius journey differently for me than for you. And, I also believe that many other factors play a role in all of this besides just astrology (my illness, the people around me, etc). But gosh darnit if astrology hasn’t been providing a very decent roadmap for me to have in my tool box to help out with it all for the past 4 years.
Pluto retrograded back into Capricorn from mid-June 2023 to Jan. 19 2024. That period of time wrapped up A LOT of the lessons for us in whatever house Capricorn is in for you. I had A LOT go down that corresponded with that.
After Pluto moves into Aquarius on Jan 20, 2024, there will be one other point later this year, from Sept. 1 to Nov. 19, 2024, when it retrogrades back into Capricorn one more time. So you will have a total final wrap up of those lessons and changes at that point. Then it will fully stay in Aquarius until March 8, 2043. (After that I believe it will do some retrograding back into Aquarius a couple of times until 2044, so 2044 is when we finally wrap up this journey).
Wow. This just took me an insane amount of time to write. It just took you an insane amount of time to read. Is your head just boggled with information? Do you understand everything I said? Is there anything that is still confusing? Feel free to comment and ask any questions you want. If you are still reading this then bless your heart!
It’s ok if you don’t believe in any of this, or just in parts of it. I am not here to convince you. I am just here to share what I currently know. I aim to inform, help, and entertain. Hopefully, I did one or all of those things for you. And, who knows, maybe in 2044 I will look back at all of this and decide I was dead wrong about everything. We will see how all this plays out and whether it matches up or not. I reserve the right to change my mind and learn new things. After all, that is my specific 3/5 Human Design type. I may be totally wrong about these beliefs, learn the hard way, and then share it all with you in 20 years. We shall see.
**I used my own knowledge plus several sources to write this. Chani Nicholas has been a huge source of information for me. As well as Chris Corsini, The Royal Cusp, Llewellyn’s astrology book, and several Google resources.
