My Ridonkulous New Idea for My Paid Subscribers
Happy “Gregorian New Year/still the middle of the end of the year and I will not be starting a new year until Aries season/Spring Equinox” to you my beautiful paid subscribers! Or, Happy 2025 I guess! I have this hare-brained idea that I wanted to share with y’all. Ok, here goes.
I want to start writing a fiction book. And I want to start writing it here for my VIP subscribers. It will be like you guys are my beta audience. It wouldn’t be every single post. I would still write about my other normal topics here, too. But, some of my posts to you guys would be a chapter in my new book.
I thought it might be a cool way to write a book because I struggle to write without audience participation and writing a whole book without involving other people is really hard for me. LOL. Each time I write a post on my Substack, it feels like I am writing a chapter in a book. So why not knock out both things at once? Write a post that is a chapter in a book. Before you know it, I will have finished a book! It will be such an efficient use of my time and energy! Haha!
On top of that, you guys will get a sneak peek at behind the scenes, real time, first draft of someone writing a book. You could weigh in with feedback. I will definitely ask for suggestions. You will be thanked in the dedication section of the book (unless you don’t want to be). You will be beta readers! And, you can be as involved or uninvolved as you want. You can be as uninvolved as reading the post and leaving it at that (or heck you can even skip them if you so choose and only read my non-fiction posts). Or you can be as involved as leaving comments and sending emails with thoughts, ideas, suggestions, feedback, etc. Totally your call!
I have been churning this idea in my head for several weeks now, and I thought I would share with you where it came from, the background details of everything, and some of the starting components I have for it!
I moved to a new town a couple of months ago that is about 35 mins from where I was previously living.
